Most, if not all, of us would just either sigh heavily or make a face when losing weight is talked about. Others would even run away from the place where losing weight is talked about. But you know what? We need to do it, especially if we’re already past – way past – that recommended BMI score.
So, how can we do it?
Scratch that, how can we do it while having fun?
Well, here are some ways:
Make your workouts a reward system.
Nothing can really motivate a person, unless there’s something a person wants to achieve. Thus, it’s only right for you to make your workouts a reward system. Example, you will only get a slice of that delicious cheesecake after finishing two weeks of pushups. Another example, you will only get a limited Harry Potter book after finishing a month’s worth of lifting. There are really no limits as to what you can reward yourself with, so long as you are motivated to keep doing what you need to do.
Create your own indoor bootcamp.
It could be as easy as a stairs trial, where you’ll run up and down the stairs for at least 20 times every day. It could also be as hard as an obstacle course, where you’ll run all over the entire house and perform at least 3 sets of tasks every day. Regardless what kind of bootcamp you have chosen, you can make it fun by actually doing your weight loss challenges like a reality game. Play a video game while exercising.
Well, there’s what gamers call Nintendo Wii – a console where you can simulate games by using a stick-like remote device. Games best played here include sport games like football and tennis. There’s also what gamers call Microsoft Kinect – a console where you can simulate games by using your body parts. Games best played here include movement games like dancing with feet and dancing with hands. Cool, right?
